I try to take care of my skin – I wear at least an SPF 15 every day and in the summer, an SPF 30 on my face. I am constantly looking for great moisurizers and eye creams. I’m trying to stop the inevitable in its tracks – it is not working! No really, you cannot stop it, but you can help keep you skin in its best condition possible and here are some of Paula Begoun’s picks on her website (which you must register to use) and you can read the full reviews in her book, Don’t Go To the Cosmetics Counter Without Me, 7th Edition by Paula Begoun and Bryan Barron (Publisher: Beginning Press) (www.cosmeticscop.com).

You can find some of these at local drug stores, the rest are found at high end department stores, Sephora or ULTA or, of course, on-line.

What makes these the “BEST”. According to Paula, these are products that exceed expectations and goes beyond the criteria for a product in its category with minimal to no concerns including non irritating formulas or fragrances and does not boast outlandish claims of what the product will do.

Paula states that the eye creams below are all recommended because they contain an outstanding assortment of beneficial ingredients for skin anywhere on the face. Essentially, these are moisturizer formulas designated as eye-area products, though they contain nothing that is specific or better for skin around the eyes compared to the best facial moisturizers available. You’re definitely not getting as much for your money with these products vs. moisturizers, but there’s no denying that many consumers are convinced they need a separate product to treat skin around the eyes. For those so inclined, the eye creams below are brilliant options. However, keep in mind that you only need a separate eye moisturizer if the skin in this areas is drier than on the rest of your face.
